Now is the Perfect Time to write your
"Horror Story" letter to the Feds!

Probably the best thing we can do to cause change for the better is to follow through with our letter writing campaign. If you have been wronged by your lender's actions, please write your letter ASAP outlining your "horror story".

For your letter to be the most effective:
  1. Stick to the facts of your "contrived default" situation and keep emotions out.

  2. Lay out clearly in a timeline discussion.

  3. The best impact will come from letters able to show the economic impact on not just your company, but the damage to the general economy (subcontractor and consultant job loss, etc)
You can review a couple samples, draft your letter and send to the 5 appropriate Federal Contacts. If the Feds get complaints from three different entities about the same bank, they must investigate.

Once you write and send your letters, please e-mail a copy to pathtodefault@yahoo.com to post on this site along with the other actual letters sent by our coalition members
.

Builders hear how their loans are being sold and wonder what happens after they are sold. This is what happens – they get a notice – they call on the notice – and they begin to learn about how the new "lender" is going to approach the loan.
Example of a Notice to Mortgagor.
